We are fast approaching the end of February, and it’s been a crazy month around here! We’ve had illness (yes, again), parties, Valentine’s, a marriage retreat, and numerous other small things. Still, this has been the best month of 2012 so far! (I know, I have SO much to compare it to.)
So, how’d I do with my goals? Well, I can call 2 out of 3 a success…I think.
1. May quiet times with the Lord a priority. While it’s not quite as consistent (read: every day) as I would like, it is a priority…and even when I don’t make time for quiet time, I still make time to pray and worship the Lord, even if it’s just for a few minutes. So, I’ll count that a plus!
2. Get my family on a consistent schedule. Okay, so technically, I didn’t do this. But I did come to this realization. For me and my family, a hard core “schedule” is just too much to ask. However, we do have a consistent routine. We know we get up, eat breakfast, get ready for the day, complete morning chores, and have school in the morning. We know after lunch will be rest time, followed by playing games/art projects/going outside. After dinner is family time and then we start getting ready for bed. That’s good enough–it all gets done and I don’t feel stressed.
3. Purge and clean the three bedrooms. Um…we’ll put this one in the no category. I made some progress on it, but I can’t even call one room complete. That’s okay, though, I’ll move it over to March with two more fun, new goals. I do need to get them done soon, though. We got my husband’s preliminary results back, he’s definitely being discharged from the Army and more than likely that will come to pass before the summer. We’ll see…
I look forward to lots of fun stuff in March, though. Next month, both of my girls celebrate their birthdays (if you remember, they’re 11 days short of a year apart)–we’re having an Art Party! I’ve gotten a bunch of great ideas off the internet and look forward to planning this event. The girls are so excited! I promise to post pictures.
So…until March 1st…hurry up and complete your goals! hehehe….
