I can’t believe October is already halfway over with. Our leaves have finally started changing colors. I’ve been enjoying the 20-30 minute drive from our house to the bigger town in the area. The hues of red and orange are just beautiful. And, yes, it may be that I am just extra happy to have a fall this year since we were in Hawaii last year. I kind of wish we could go to my parent’s house this weekend, drive up the Blue Ridge Parkway and take in the beauty of the mountains as they change color. It’s a beautiful sight, and one I haven’t got to witness for a couple of years. We always end the trip with a breakfast buffet at this little inn off the parkway. Delicious!
Anyway, back to the topic at hand. I’ve made progress with my goals, but there’s still work to do!
1. Get back on the Whole30 diet–Okay, so I’m actually changing this goal completely. My MIL and I decided not to pursue the Whole30 diet until January 1st. I still plan to eat healthy–mostly paleo and gluten-free. My goal for the rest of the month is to find a way to work in a workout 3 times a week.
2. Write 35K on my WIP–So, I’m making progress! I’ve written about 7,000 words so far this month. I am definitely behind, but not so much that I can’t catch up and accoplish my goal. My new daily word count goal is 2,000 words, 5,000 on Saturdays. This should shoot me above and beyond my goal, but it also leaves me some cushion if I have to miss a couple of days. Like when I forget to set my alarm and don’t wake up until 7, completely missing my 5 a.m.-7 a.m. writing time. Not that I would ever do that. Really.
3. Plan/Organize homeschool better–I did well the first two weeks with this, but kind of failed this week. Last week, I went ahead and did an overview plan until Thanksgiving. However, I didn’t get around to looking over it this weekend, so I wasn’t able to prepare and organize everything for the week. Instead, I’ve been scampering around, trying to make sure folders were properly filled, running to the store to get supplies, etc. Yeah, next week will be better!
How are you doing on your goals this month?
